As the fluid flows through the valve, there are usually some special features in the valve body that help guide the flow. These internal designs can make the flow more laminar, which means the fluid moves in an orderly way. Laminar flow reduces turbulence and helps the valve operate more efficiently.

The Reverse – Flow Prevention

Now, what happens when the flow of fluid tries to reverse? This is where the real magic of the silent check valve happens.

As the pressure of the fluid in the forward direction decreases or the pressure in the reverse direction starts to build up, the spring kicks in. The spring starts to push the disc back towards the closed position. This happens very quickly, almost instantaneously in some high – quality valves.
